Universal Orlando announces Harry Potter theme park expansion

More magic is on the way for Muggles at Universal Orlando next year.   The theme park announced Wednesday the expansion of the popular Wizarding World of Harry Potter with a new area based on the books’ fictional scenes in Diagon Alley.   The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, as it’s officially named, which will include a new marquee ride, new restaurant and shops, and an iconic train trip, will mirror the journey that a young Harry Potter took to become a wizard. “He started his journey in London, going to Diagon Alley to get his wand, and going on the Hogwarts Express, going to Gringotts Bank to get the money from his parents.  That was such a huge part of the stories and we had to bring it to life,” said senior vice president of Universal Creative Thierry Coup.   Read more

The entertainment business in China

Many people from all over the world and from all kind of businesses are heading towards China. The entertainment business, as any other businesses, is now booming in Asia. It is true that many theaters, festivals and amusement parks are coming out of the ground in different parts of the country. From Beijing in the North to Macau and Hong-Kong in the south, China is generally and completely changing.   Already in 1995, our entertainment agency had the pleasure to put together a clown festival in Shenzhen for an amusement park. It was a great experience that we had the pleasure to renew for several years. We back then discovered how complicated it was to introduce our European humor in China.   Several years later, we signed our first agreement with the Chinese National Television (CCTV). The first edition of the humor festival happened in 2008 in the Beijing studios. We worked as artistic advisor for the national television channel who chose 25 acts from our artists agency.
