CIBTM 2013 May Be Biggest Show to Date

We hear that this fall’s CIBTM, which is set to take place from September 2 – 4 at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) in Beijing, may be the largest edition of the show to date.   Hosted Buyer applications have doubled, (compared to this time last year) as many top level meetings buyers with proven purchasing power sign up to place their business with both regional and international participating exhibitors.       CIBTM has also witnessed a notable increase in the amount of Corporate and Association Trade Visitors who have signed up to attend the show. Jeffrey Xu, CIBTM Project Manager, Reed Travel Exhibitions said that the majority of the exhibitors want to meet with associations and corporates, “as this is where a lot of the big business in the meetings industry lies.       “The quality of trade visitor registrations this year has been very promising, and we are delighted to see such a rise in the the number of Associations and Corporates. We have meetings industry professionals attending from companies including China Society for World Trade Organization, the Chinese Medical Association, CCPIT and the Medical and Health Care Association.”     CIBTM has also signed […]

Italy as recently been ranked 6th in the ICCA annual ranking. That means that a large number of events are regularly being held in Italy. Why is that?   Italy’s position as one of the top cultural destinations in the world is highlighted by the high number of unique UNESCO World Heritage sites and extensive offer of museums and similar institutions. It is clear that Italy continues to have a very strong international brand. But Italy is also known for its cuisine. Italian cuisine is characterized by its extreme simplicity, with many dishes having only four to eight ingredients. Italian cooks rely chiefly on the quality of the ingredients rather than on elaborate preparation. Ingredients and dishes vary by region. Many dishes that were once regional, however, have proliferated with variations throughout the country.   Most of corporate events and weddings are being held in Rome, Milan, Venice, Sardinia and Florence. 3,500 expected to attend eye care conference

More than 3,500 visitors are expected to attend the Vision-X Dubai 2013 Optometry Conference, one of the Middle East’s most lucrative events for the regional and global optical and ophthalmic industry, which kicks off tomorrow (April 9). The event, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, features a strong line-up of industry announcements, eyewear fashion and medical eye care with participation from top international and regional brands, a statement from the organisers said. It offers networking opportunities for industry professionals and is a platform for exhibitors to showcase the latest medical and technical equipment and machinery as well as new innovations and developments in fashion eyewear and accessories. 85 exhibitors from 15 countries including China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, UK, will take part in the event which will go on till April 11.
